Biography

Lisa has been a professional singer since the age of seventeen, performing in a variety of bands and as a singer/songwriter & as a session vocalist, for two London studios, displaying her supreme flexibility singing many styles of music. Genres include rock, soul, folk/celtic, blues and jazz.

Lisa's beautiful vocals and songwriting skills brought her to the attention of the uk music producer Pete Waterman & Warner Chappell as the lead vocalist in all-girl rock band "Arcana", inviting the band to record a demo at one of his studios.
Lisa then became the lead singer of an all-girl rock/metal covers band "The Playgirls" playing at various rock and biker festivals across the UK.

A few years later Lisa wrote & recorded her own short album, "Windows of the Soul" which was then showcased on Londons premier talk radio station LBC which attracted a fantastic response.

During this time Lisa was also singing and touring with the legendary rhythm & blues singer Clarence Tex Walker (The Drifters & The Coasters) & she also headed a folk/pop band called "Wildwood".

It was hearing Windows of the Soul that brought Lisa to the attention of Ian Jones of Karnataka & record producer Steve Evans. She was asked to join a new rock/celtic/ambient project Chasing the Monsoon with Steve, Ian & guitarist Ian Simmons & helped write & record the lead vocals for this album which blends world music rhythms, ambient soundscapes, rock and celtic influences & looks to be released, hopefully, in 2012! Ian Jones meanwhile also asked Lisa to join “Karnataka” as lead vocalist, which she did for five years, writing & performing all the vocals on the award winning Karnataka album The Gathering Light which received an amazing response & some fantastic reviews. Lisa was also nominated twice for best female vocalist at the Classic Rock Society awards.
It was in May 2010 that Lisa decided it was time to leave Karnataka & she continues to provide her unique style of vocals and songwriting talents for several different TV & film score companies and for other musicians around the world.

Towards the end of 2010 Lisa joined multi-instrumentalist Dave John Ross, creating Lirium a new project set to make it’s mark in the music industry, combining a tapestry of multi-layered soundscapes and ethereal harmonies drawing influences from many genres without limitations

Lisa has won international acclaim for her portrayal of one of classic rocks most iconic female vocalists Stevie Nicks, performing all over the world for over eleven years, with the world’s first and most authentic tribute show to  Fleetwood Mac - "Fleetwood Bac". You can check out all the current info on the band and the latest tour dates here: www.fleetwoodbac.com
